Ted Hendricks
A three-time All-American at the University of
Miami, Hall of Fame linebacker Ted Hendricks enjoyed one of the
most prolific careers in professional football history. Selected
in 1969 in the second round of the NFL Draft by Baltimore Coach
Don Shula, Hendricks was instrumental in the Colts Super Bowl VI
victory over the Dallas Cowboys. His career path took him from Baltimore
to Green Bay to his final home with the Oakland Raiders. The 6’7”
“Mad Stork” played havoc with opposing offenses by his mere presence
on the field. Add to that a highly intelligent and dedicated football
player, Hendricks also proved to be an incredibly durable athlete,
playing in 215 straight games. Noted for his speed, strength, and
fierce tenacity, Hendricks excelled in the Raiders scheme and was
part of three Super Bowl Championships in Oakland —Super Bowl XI,
XV, & XVIII. His career statistics included 60.5 sacks, 4 safeties,
26 interceptions, and eight Pro Bowl selections. Hendricks was inducted
into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990. Today, Ted stays heavily
involved in players’ matters, currently serving as Vice President
of the Hall of Fame Players. He also remains close to his college
alma mater by presiding over the “Ted Hendricks Award,” given each
year to the best Defensive End in College football.

Rodger Craig
Drafted in the second round of the 1983 draft,
Roger Craig became one of the most electrifying and successful running
backs in NFL history. His high-knee action, strength, and speed
made him a nightmare for opposing defenses. A three-time Super Bowl
winner and four-time Pro Bowl selection, Craig was the first running
back in NFL history (1985) to accumulate 1000 yards both rushing
and receiving. In his rookie year, he scored a combined 12 touchdowns.
In his second year, Roger helped power a dynamic 49ers team to an
18-1 record, with the final win being a Super Bowl XIX victory.
The “almost home game,” played at Stanford Stadium, saw Roger become
the first player to score three touchdowns in a Super Bowl. In 1988,
Craig was named offensive player of the year and, once again, helped
drive the 49ers to victory in Super Bowl XXIII. The following year
the 49ers repeated as Super Bowl Champions and, once again, Craig
was a force on offense the entire season. After eight seasons with
the 49ers, Craig closed out his stellar career with a one-year stint
with the Raiders and two years in Minnesota. Roger played on playoff
teams in all 11 years of his great career. His career totals include
8,189 rushing yards, 566 receptions for 4911 receiving yards, and
73 total touchdowns, 56 rushing and 17 receiving. Roger was one
of the 15 finalists for the 2010 Class of the Pro Football Hall
of Fame.
